Romania, Azerbaijan and Georgia sign memorandum for carrying natural gas

Azerbaijan Press Council announces 7 newspapers and one magazine more “racketeer”

Azerbaijan Press Council’s commission on prevention of “racketeering journalism” chaired by Vugar Rahimzadeh held its regular meeting on Tuesday.

13.04.10 Rahimzadeh said the commission has received more than 20 complaints since the beginning of the year and informed about the materials collected in the wake of those complaints, the Press Council sources told APA. 7 newspapers and one magazine were declared as “racketeering publications” and one newspaper got a serious notice. The commission will continue investigation. The Press Council’s secretariat was urged to prepare report to the Council’s Board.

Azerbaijan will not adopt law on alternative service

Azerbaijan will not fulfill one of the commitments undertaken at the Council of Europe – adoption of law on alternative service because of non-solution of Nagorno Karabakh problem.
