Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh’s appeal hearing postponed
[8.01.2010] On Friday, Baku Appeal Court held a hearing on the appeal by bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh. According to APA, aggrieved party didn’t attend the hearing presided over by Judge Gail Mammadov. The defendants protested it and demanded the aggrieved parties to attend the trial. The judge accepted their protest and said participation of the aggrieved persons will be provided during te trial.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan sent construction materials to the regions of Azerbaijan suffered from strong wind.
[8.01.2010] First truck of different construction materials left Baku for the regions on Thursday, APA reports.
Chief of the material technical maintenance department of the ministry Ragif Muradov said strong wind blew on January 3-4 in the southern part of the country seriously damaged both social facilities and private houses. Experts of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are investigating the damages in the regions.

[8.01.2010] The General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan prolonged the period of investigation over the fact of bloody accident at Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. A gunman attacked the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy April 30. The gunman entered the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in Baku and climbed five floors of the building, shooting everyone he met along the way and killed 12, wounded 13.

The letter of the Azerbaijani soldier captured by Armenians Anar Hajiyev has been delivered to his family today. The captive’s mother Naila Mammadova told APA’s Karabakh bureau that the letter was written on December 29.
