Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh’s appeal hearing postponed

11:54 / 08.01.2010 On Friday, Baku Appeal Court held a hearing on the appeal by bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh. According to APA, aggrieved party didn’t attend the hearing presided over by Judge Gail Mammadov. The defendants protested it and demanded the aggrieved parties to attend the trial. The judge accepted their protest and said participation of the aggrieved persons will be provided during te trial.

The hearing was postponed until January 22.

The bloggers are facing with charges under articles 127.2.3 (deliberate harming health) and 221.2.1 (hooliganism). The Sabayel district court sentenced Emin Milli for 2 years and six months of imprisonment and Adnan Hajizadeh – for two years on November 11. 2009.
