[16.11.2009] The wife of Iran’s president made a rare public appearance and, even more rare, a speech at a forum on the eve of a United Nations summit to fight hunger that begins today. Azam al-Sadat Farahi almost never appears in public with her husband, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and is believed never to have addressed a public gathering.
APA is celebrating 5 years in operation

National Broadcasting Council have to use administrative methods against TV channels
“TV channels resumed situation of show programs again and we have to use administrative methods against them”, chairman of the National Broadcasting Council Nushiravan Maharramli said at the training course organized by the Council and Electronic Media Support Fund on the subject of show programs and show problems.
[14.11.2009] He said if the Council started to use administrative methods, it would damage TV channels. “I wouldn’t like to threaten them. It is only recommendation yet. If show programs save present state, it will damage TV channels that they will lose more than they earn from show programs. If we implement some articles of broadcasting law, it will harm the TV channels’ situation.

Terrible accident involving 4 vehicles leave 5 military men dead and 3 injured
[13.11.2009] A terrible accident in Azerbaijan’s region of Terter left 5 people dead and several injured. As the APA’s local bureau reports, three ZIL trucks and one Mercedes collided in Jamilli village of Terter at 08.40 pm.
Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan meet in Minsk
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, who is paying an official visit to Belarus, met with his counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, APA reports quoting BELTA.

According to him, Belarus-Azerbaijan links are increasingly vibrant. Within a relatively short period of time the countries exchanged visits on the highest level and on the level of heads of government.
