Senator Natalie Goulet: “France fulfills its commitment concerning Azerbaijan in the OSCE Minsk Group”
Member of the French Senate Natalie Goulet, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, has visited Heydar Aliyev’s memorial at the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs.
17.03.10 Natalie Goulet told journalists that France fulfills its commitment concerning Azerbaijan in the OSCE Minsk Group. “France is actively working with the Minsk Group. We hope that a necessary result towards the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be achieved soon”.

Azerbaijani Parliament approves government’s report
Azerbaijani Parliament finished discussions on the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2009.
17.03.10 Speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov made a keynote speech at the meeting. Speaker said great improvement was observed in Azerbaijan’s economy, share of the private sector in economy, foreign investments increased. He said due to the successful economic policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, the world financial crisis did not affect Azerbaijan. According to Ogtay Asadov, the report presented by the Cabinet to the parliament every year is prepared perfectly.

Governmental and non-governmental organizations hold round table on children rights protection
15.03.10 The State Committee on Family, Woman and Child Problems, UNICEF and NGO Alliance for Children Rights held a round table on cooperation of government agencies and non-governmental organizations in the protection of children rights. Chairwoman of the State Committee Hicran Huseynova spoke about the recent serious actions taken for prevention of domestic violence in Azerbaijan, APA reports. She emphasized the NGO’s role in the protection of children rights and said a number of serious steps were made by the NGOs and international organizations. Currently the NGO Alliance for Children Rights is uniting nearly 100 children organizations.
