TurkPA Secretary General meets with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus representative in Baku

TurkPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov met with representative of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in Baku Zeki Gazioglu at the office of the organization.

17.02.10  Hasanov spoke about development of relations with international organizations. To him, they officially applied for the cooperation with several international organizations: “There is cooperation with the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization in this direction”.

“Azerbaijan’s establishing relations with Israel can not be against Iran or any other country. Iran should not worry about it.

Commenting on the concerns in Iran over Azerbaijan’s relations with Israel, Afshar Suleymani said the countries’ foreign policies differed from one another.

Secretary General: GUAM national coordinators will meet in Tbilisi

The National Coordinators’ Conucil (NCC) may be held in Tbilisi March 12-14, Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development-GUAM Secretary General Valery Chechelashvili said.

16.02.10 “GUAM NCC may be held in Tbilisi, which will host a conference March 12-14 on transferring in Visegrad Group’s experience to the western Balkans and GUAM member countries, “he said.
All GUAM member-countries, including their national coordinators, have been invited to the event, he added. If all the national coordinators will be able to come to Tbilisi, then the NCC will be held there.
The date of the GUAM foreign ministers’ meeting has not yet been named, as Ukraine has yet to form its new government after the 2010 presidential elections.
Regarding projects within the framework of GUAM and the organization’s future plans, he said GUAM’s secretariat in Kiev recently held a joint seminar on combating crime.

Yanukovych officially named winner of Ukraine presidential election

Opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych won Ukraine’s presidential election, the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC) officially declared Sunday.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office starts his visit to Azerbaijan

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has arrived in Azerbaijan.

Amendments on “Freedom of press”, “Operational search action”, “Mass Media”, “obtaining information” caused serious discussions at today’s session of the parliament.
