Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation condemns ban on minarets in Switzerland
23:11 / 04.12.2009 Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYFDC) issued a statement condemning the ban of minaret construction in Switzerland. Unfortunately no education work was conducted among the population before putting of Swiss government’s racist initiative to referendum vote, said the statement, ICYFDC media department told APA. “300 thousand Muslims living in this country and whose rights were violated, faced with the act of Islamophobia, which damages the cross-civilizations dialogue. ICYFDC, which is working in OIC countries and defending the rights of young Muslims over the world, condemns this action, which negatively effects on the inter-religions relations”.
ICYFDC asked the UN Human Rights Council to adopt resolution for prevention of referendum on the issues directed toward the violation of human rights. The Forum called on the Organization of the Islamic Conference, its member countries and specialized agencies to strengthen their efforts toward necessary legal and political steps for protection of rights of Muslims living in Switzerland.Bu yazı ( 303 ) - dəfə oxunmuşdur
