New volcanic ash cloud moves towards Europe

12:40 / 20.04.2010 British air authorities informed about new volcanic ash cloud heading towards the British Islands, APA reports quoting Newsru.com. Despite new eruption threat, a part of air space of the United Kingdom will be opened on Tuesday, but London airports are still closed. Scottish airports have already resumed their work. British airways said it was ready to resume flights from London. Lufthansa planes carried out several successful flights over the European continent. Portugal is keeping it airports closed leaving 35 000 passengers in desperate situation. Finland said it would keep its air space closed until Tuesday evening. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said cancellation of flights because of volcanic ash cloud over Europe caused $US 150 million airlines losses a day.
