Abulfas Garayev: “Armenia tackles the fact-finding mission of UNESCO and Council of Europe to visit the occupied territories of Azerbaijan”
13:17 / 27.01.2010 “The expected visit of the fact-finding mission of UNESCO and Council of Europe to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is still in a level of negotiations”, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev told journalists, APA reports. The minister said long-time delaying of these visits was caused by obstacles created by the neighboring side. “We are negotiating the visit of the fact-finding mission of UNESCO and Council of Europe for long time and the negotiations are still going on. The visit should be carried out with the agreement of both sides. Finding state of material heritage, route and date of mission’s visit should be coordinated between both sides. As you know the neighboring side is always tackling it, but Azerbaijan welcomes this mission”. Garayev said there were special conditions for realization of these visits. “We are observing the required conditions, but the opposite side is always hindering it.
