Results of Eynulla Fatullayev’s blood test known

13:12 / 27.01.2010 The results of the blood test of imprisoned Eynulla Fatullayev are known, Garadagh district police office told APA. The police office did not publicize the results of the test saying it was confidential. It is being investigated how the narcotics drugs were smuggled in the jail. The investigation of the criminal case launched on Eynulla Fatullayev will be completed in a few days.

Fatullayev’s lawyer Isakhan Ashurov told APA that he is unaware of the results of the test.

Editor-in-chief of Gundalik Azerbayjan and Realny Azerbayjan newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev was arrested by the decision of Yasamal district court on April 20, 2007. He was accused of insulting Khojaly residents in his series of articles “Karabakh diary” and sentenced to two-and-a-half-year imprisonment. Later, he faced additional charges and sentenced to eight-and-a-half-year imprisonment on October 30, 2007.

0.223g heroin was found on Eynulla Fatullayev in jail #12 on December 30, 2009. He faced charges under Article 234 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) of the Criminal Code.
