EBS TV channels of Korea made four-part film about Azerbaijan

15:12 / 16.11.2009 The production unit of EBS TV channel of the Republic of Korea visited Azerbaijan on September 25 – October 15 with the support of Azerbaijani embassy in Korea. The embassy told APA that the production unit shot a four-part film about Azerbaijani people, national culture, historical monuments and tourist places.
The first part “Peoples of the Caucasus” deals with the national minorities settled in the northern regions of Azerbaijan, which is located between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea. Khinalig, the highest dwelling of Guba and Azerbaijan, is introduced to Korean audience. It is underlined that minorities believing in various religions in Azerbaijan have been living in tolerance for centuries. The second part “Glorious heritage of the silk road” presents reports from Lahic and Shaki, the central cities of the ancient Silk Road, examples of Azerbaijan’s ancient craftsmanship, excursion to Icherisheher that has been included into the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO.
In the third part “Inextinguishable flame of Baku” tour is made to Yanardagh and Ateshgah monuments in Azerbaijan and it is noted that the motherland of Zoroastrianism is not Iran, or India, but Azerbaijan. Martyrs’ Alley and the eternal flame in the alley is demonstrated, it is noted that Azerbaijani territories, including Nagorno Karabakh have been occupied by Armenia, a lot of Azerbaijanis were killed in the conflict, about one million Azerbaijanis were displaced.
In the fourth part “Land on the other side of the history” Korean audience are informed about Gobustan Rock Art and mud volcanoes. Tour was also made to Lankaran and Lerik, which is known as the land of long-livers.
The film made by EBS channel was broadcasted in Korea on November 9-12 in parts, all the four parts were broadcasted on November 15.
