Egemen Bagish: “Ratification of the protocols by the parliament is difficult without solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict”
13:55 / 19.10.2009 “Ratification of the protocols by the parliament is difficult without solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, Turkish State Minister Egemen Bagish told Armenian journalists. He said the ratification process at the parliament was significantly depending on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. While being asked about the possibility of EU membership requirement for recognition of so-called “Armenian genocide”, Bagish said: “European countries also had bloody events and horrors in their history”. Regarding the similarity between holocaust and so-called “Armenian genocide”, Bagish said these were completely different events: “Six million Jews were killed in Germany, but there were no Germans among the killed people. But two million Muslims were killed in 1915 events”.
