Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor’s Office issues statement on murder in military unit
Azerbaijan’s Military Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement on the bloody incident happened in the military unit of the Defense Ministry.
17:17 / 29.01.2010 Press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office told APA that criminal case had been launched on the fact on article 120.2.1 (premeditated murder committed by group of persons, on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, by organized group or criminal community), 120.2.3 (premeditated murder of victims or his close relatives in connection with implementation of a given person of service activity or performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (premeditated murder of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code.
Assistant Military Prosecutor Shefahat Imranov is leading the investigation. Inspectors of the Department for Grave Crimes of the Republic Military Prosecutor’s Office, criminalist and group of Ganja Military Prosecutor’s Office are carrying out investigation on the site. Urgent measures are being taken to investigate the condition and causes of the incident.
Thorough and objective investigation will be ensured, the perpetrators will be held accountable.
