APA starts 24-hour working regime

Azeri Press Agency (APA) started 24-hour working regime. The agency will provide 24-hour Azerbaijani, English and Russian news services.

12:18 / 25.01.2010 Local and international daily news and reports will be available on APA’s website any old time within 24 hours.

APA was registered at the Ministry of Justice on January 8, 2004 and began its activity on November 16 that year. The agency issued its first newsletters in Azerbaijani, Russia and English and then in French and Arabic. Now it has online news service in five languages.
The agency has www.apa.az, www.apasport.az, www.photo.apa.az websites. APA’s daily news are available on http://wap.apa.az on mobile phones. The agency has its bureaus throughout the country, in leading and neighbor countries, except Armenia. APA is working with leading media organizations, TV channels, agencies and newspapers of Turkey, Middle East, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Central Asian and Baltic countries, Moldova, Europe and the United States.

The agency was accredited at the Council of Europe, State Department and Russian foreign ministry. It is working with many analytical centers of the world, including Stratfor Global Intelligence Company.
