19 kidnapping cases identified in Azerbaijan last year
12:20 / 22.01.2010 19 kidnapping cases were identified in Azerbaijan last year, the State Statistics Committee told APA.
According to the statistics based on the reports of the Interior Ministry, 22 830 criminal cases were identified in Azerbaijan in 2009. 88.3 percent of them were not grave and publicly dangerous crimes. 35.2 percent of the crimes were committed against the persons, 30.6 percent – against the public order and security, 28.9 percent – in the field of economy.
236 crimes were deliberate murder or attempts, 239 – deliberate harming of health, 19 – kidnapping, including 10 kidnapping of women for marriage.
