Andres Herkel: “We look forward to submit report on Azerbaijan to PACE June session”
PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) Monitoring Committee’s co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel and Josef Debono Grekh are planning to visit one of the regions of Azerbaijan, Herkel told APA.
17:37 / 11.01.2010 The co-rapporteur said he would visit Azerbaijan together with his colleague Grekh on February 8 after the PACE winter session. He said they would discuss the visit program at the winter session. “We will discuss all issues to be mentioned in the report, which was delayed because I was working alone, but we are thinking to prepare detailed report and to mention all issues. It will cover the justice system, protection of human rights, freedom of speech, situation around the mass media and journalists and etc.”
The co-rapporteur said they would take interest in recent situation created around the arrested journalist Eynulla Fatullayev.
Herkel said preparation of the reports was a continuous process. “The draft report will be prepared until the April session and we are looking forward to submit to the PACE June session”.Bu yazı ( 330 ) - dəfə oxunmuşdur
