“I am investigating the incident that occurred during the monitoring on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops on December 15,” Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk told APA exclusively.
22:48 / 17.12.2009 The Personal Representative said he had not participated in the monitoring and underlined that he was carrying out the investigation together with his field assistants.
“I have already called Imre Palatinus, who conducted the monitoring in the opposite side, to Baku. After investigating the incident, I will report about it to OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Greek Prime Minister and Foreign Minister,” he said.
An incident occurred when under the mandate of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office the contact line of troops near Garakhanbayli village of Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan was monitored. Spokesman for Defense Ministry, lieutenant-colonel Eldar Sabiroglu told APA that the monitoring was interrupted as the units of Armenian army fired.
