Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan: “We will not accelerate ratification of the protocols, if there is no progress in the issue of returning the occupied lands”

22:34 / 17.12.2009 “Turkish Prime Minister put the Nagorno Karabakh problem on agenda of his meeting with the US president and said the protocols signed with Armenia wouldn’t be approved if there was no progress toward the liberation of these occupied lands”, said the Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic, APA reports. He said that Turkey was waiting for the progress in liberation of the occupied lands. “We will not accelerate the process of ratification, if the lands are not liberated. This is very important issue for whole Caucasus”.

The ambassador said there were other borders in the region closed before the Turkish-Armenian borders. “The first closed gate should be opened in the Caucasus. Especially it needs to solve this problem because Karabakh is very important issue”.
