Manouchehr Mottaki: Iran is going to unilaterally cancel the visa regime with Azerbaijan

“Iranian government is discussing the issue on unilaterally canceling visa regime with a number of countries, including Azerbaijan,” Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told journalists, APA reports quoting Iranian media.

14:54 / 22.10.2009 The minister said they had already presented the draft to the government. “We have presented to the Cabinet the request for giving legal permission and after the decision is confirmed Azerbaijani citizens will be able to visit Iran without getting visa,” he said. Manouchehr Mottaki said they were expecting Azerbaijan to take similar step with respect to Iran.
