Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kemaleddin Heydarov visits the affected area
Due to the situation created in Bayramli village of Shirvan City Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kemaleddin Heydarov arrived at the site.
16:55 / 07.05.2010 Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov and Chairman of Melioration and Water Economy OJSC Ahmad Ahmadzadeh are also at the site.
Crisis center chaired by Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Orujali Hajiyev is continuing to take appropriate measures in the direction of elimination of the critical situation. A lot of techniques and forces have been involved in the area.
Note that, the water level of the Kura River in Bayramli settlement of Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city is rising. The river is moving towards the villages of Sabirabad region. APA’s correspondent reports from the site that the Kura will likely flood Baku – Horadiz railway. People are in panic. The residents are being evacuated. Some facilities are under the water.
