Helicopters deliver foods to isolated villages in landslide area
32 remote villages were isolated from the regional center as landslide destroyed Guba-Gonagkend road in Guba region. The villages faced with food problems.
14:52 / 04.05.2010 The Ministry of Emergency Situations sent helicopters to deliver foods to the isolated villages. Chairman of the Emergency Commission of Guba region Sahib Mammadov told APA there would be three flights a day to supply all isolated villages. “The helicopters will deliver flour, sugar and tea mostly. We are taking serious measures to restore Guba-Gonagkend road until the evening”.
