Turkmen and Iranian presidents to inaugurate new gas pipeline

18:34 / 06.01.2010 Dovletabad-Serahs-Khangeran gas pipeline will be put in operation on Wednesday. Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will attend the opening of 30.5-km pipeline, APA reports quoting the Turkmen newspapers.Turkmenistan will export 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas p/y to Iran via this pipeline. The successful implementation of the Dovletabad-Serahs-Khangeran project will promote the development of Turkmen-Iranian relations, regional economic-commercial relations, extension of bilateral and multilateral partnership opportunities, stability in the region, strengthening of mutual understanding and energy security.
