Russian and Azerbaijani presidents participate in solemn opening ceremony of new bridge in Ulyanovsk

01:32 / 25.11.2009 Russian and Azerbaijani presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev participated in the solemn opening ceremony of the upper deck of the bridge across the Volga river in Ulyanovsk, APA reports. Dmitry Medvedev said the construction of the bridge began early in the 80s of the past century. According to him, first deputy chairman of the USSR Cabinet of Ministers directly participated in the decision to the construct the bridge. Dmitry Medvedev said he was satisfied that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the solemn opening ceremony.
