“Europe: I fight, I win” by president of European People’s Party Wilfried Martens presented in Baku
18:09 / 02.03.2010 The presentation ceremony of the book “Europe: I fight, I win” by president of the European People’s Party (EPP), former Prime Minister of Belgium Wilfried Martens was held with the support of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports. Addressing the event chairman of the parliament’s international affairs committee Samad Seyidov said Wilfried Martens was one of the outstanding politicians of Europe. He said the presentation of Martens’ book within his participation in Azerbaijan was a great event.
Vice-speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova said the secret of Martens’ achievements was written in the book.
“I believe that the moments related to Azerbaijan will be reflected in his future books,” she said.
Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov said serious steps had been taken for Azerbaijan’s integration into Europe.
“We participate in certain programs in this direction. But various civil means should also be used in the globalizing world. In this respect our cooperation with the European People’s Party is very important,” he said.
