Leader of European People’s Party to visit Azerbaijan

17:24 / 25.02.2010 A delegation led by the president of European People’s Party (EPP) Wilfried Martens will be on a visit to Azerbaijan on March 1-2, chairman of the Azerbaijan parliamentary committee on international affairs and inter-parliamentary relations Samad Seyidov told APA. He said Martens was planning to hold a number of meetings in Baku. His book “Europe: I Struggle, I Overcome” will also be presented during the visit.

Wilfried Martens served as Prime Minister of Belgium for long years. He is co-founder of European People’s Party. EPP which unites 74 political parties from 38 countries has majority at the European Parliament.
