ANAMA officers render harmless mine in Garamammadli village
16:09 / 19.02.2010 Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) will clear 42 villages of Azerbaijan’s Gadabay region from unexploded ordnance (UXO). Yesterday they rendered harmless a mine in Garammadli village. It is the 5th unexploded ordnance that has been rendered harmless until now.
ANAMA has conducted clearing operation in Gadabay region since January 5, Goygol regional basis of ANAMA told APA’s west bureau. Because of the mountainous relief and cold weather of Gadabay region the works are being delayed. In spite of it, the clearing operation has been ended in 4 from 42 villages of the region.
Mines set by Armenian armed forces during the war in 1992 are still under homes and villages.Bu yazı ( 309 ) - dəfə oxunmuşdur
