National Broadcasting Council Chairman denies information about Nargiz TV opening
“We don’t intend to open new TV channel only for a number, but we concern over the deficit of qualitative programs, occurrence of large number of showbiz programs, appearance of people, who have no influence among the society, on TV as exemplary persons.
16:38 / 03.05.2010 We intend to take more serious measures and to open cultural channel if the existing TV channels don’t do that. This is very serious issue. We want to display qualitative work”, said Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council of Azerbaijan, answering the question about the plans of Cultural Television in the country. Eh said they were expected to discuss the issues of material-technical basis and human resources of the Culture TV and to receive the government’s support: “We are not expected to reach significant achievements in the establishing Culture TV without the government’s support. It is impossible to open such TV channel this year”.
