Azerbaijani journalist goes on hunger strike in Switzerland

A reporter of “Yeni Musavat” newspaper, who is in exile in Switzerland, will start hunger strike in Zurich on December 7, the journalist told APA.

Journalist Hasanli noted that he would go on hunger strike in a protest against the ban on minarets in Switzerland, crusade against the immigrants and offensive behavior against them. “Yeni Musavat” reporter, who lives in exile, said that it was his duty as Muslim to protest against the ban on minarets. Hasanli addressed the Turkish and Azerbaijani media to support his action. It is not clear how long his hunger strike will last.
