Young people are 31% in Azerbaijan

As of January 1, young people account for 2.8 million or 31% of Azerbaijani population with males 49% and females 51%, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to statistics, over the past 5 years babies born to young families rose by 9%, constituting 82.3% of total births.

The majority of marriages (75.1%) were between young people which increased by 12% past five years. Divorce rate of young people in Azerbaijan is 22.6%.
