Azerbaijan blames Iran for Kura flood in Sabirabad and Shirvan

Water drain above the norm from Khudaferin water storage located in the occupied Azerbaijani territories into the Araz river caused the floods in the Kura river in Sabirabad and Shirvan, chairman of Melioration and Water Management OSC Ahmad Ahmadzadeh reported.

16:53 / 07.05.2010 He said as Iran drained more water yesterday, the water level in the Araz river rose and this caused floods in the Araz and Kura.

Ahmadzadeh said the dams in Bayramli settlement of Shirvan city and Sabirabad region will be reinforced, the floods will be prevented.
